Rookie card
A player's first official trading card from a licensed manufacturer.
A rookie card (RC) is the first officially licensed trading card released for a player after they enter their respective major league. Rookies are typically the most-chased cards in any release because they document a player's debut. Most modern sets explicitly mark RC cards on the front of the card.
